Alpe d'Huez (0/50cm) and Les Deux Alpes (0/50cm) both reopened at the weekend with good skiing to be had on the well groomed upper slopes.

The upper slopes of Val d’Isere received a dusting of snow which is set to continue until midweek, this will hopefully give the whole area a welcome boost. The best skiing in this resort is still above Le Fornet - the Tete de Solaise has now reopened too.

Over at Val Thorens (15/35cm) the resort received a dusting at the start of the week which has improved the upper slopes, while lower down the mountain - hard and fast skiing is the order of the day.

The winter season has begun at St Moritz with 29km open and it is possible for skiers to ski back down to the resort.

If you are heading to Davos (0/29cm) or Flims/Laax (0/55cm) the slopes are being maintained by artificial snow. More snow is expected next week.

Saas Fee (0/90cm) has good on-piste skiing and the park is open for general use.
