We caught up with the special guest at our annual VIP trade conference, Brian McFadden, earlier today. In the stunning surroundings of the CBH Athena Royal Hotel in Paphos, Brian told us about his favourite holiday destinations, and how much he’s enjoying himself with the Jet2holidays team and our travel agency partners.

So, Brian, you're with us here in Cyprus. What have you been up to?

I'm out here in Paphos with Jet2holidays for their annual trade conference for travel agents. As well as playing songs and telling a few stories about my life, I've been grilled on stage by their Head of Trade Alan Cross in front of over 100 travel agents (pictured). To be fair to Alan, he has potential to be a good chat show host. I’ve had a really great time so far, although the sight of hundreds of travel agents in togas will stay with me for a long time.

What do you think of your surroundings and of Cyprus?

It's a stunning setting here at the CBH Athena Royal Hotel, with great views from your balcony over the sea. The sunsets are some of the best you'll see. The facilities are top notch and I've been into Paphos town and it’s a lovely location, even out of season as it is right now.

Have you managed to do anything else whilst you've been here?

Yes, I've been golfing at the fabulous Elea Estate Golf Course, which is a genuinely brilliant course. I've also enjoyed the Spa here at CBH Athena Royal and taken a look around the town too.

You’ve obviously enjoyed your stay but what is your favourite destination?

There are so many that come to mind, but I've got to say that Marbella is one of the very best. It's got a great vibe all year round, with excellent food and nightlife. The golf is great too and my very favourite course, Valderrama is located there. I tend to go there a couple of times a year and fall in love a little more every time.

As well as being our special guest out here, have you got any projects on the go at the moment?

Yes, I've been touring the UK with Keith Duffy on our Boyzlife tour and there'll be a documentary appearing about it soon. It’s a night of songs and stories and we’ve had such fun doing it. We're back out touring in March and April, so take a visit at www.boyzlifetour.com. I've also just opened a restaurant in Dublin called Wishbone and I'm busy with the Bubble Foundation, a great cause, helping raise money for babies and children born with defective immune systems. Busy times indeed!
