On Sale Now! Summer 20 Flights and Holidays from East Midlands Airport

We are delighted to be announcing two brand new summer destinations as part of our Summer 20 programme from East Midlands Airport – which is going on sale today!

We have put flights and holidays on sale to 35 destinations from East Midlands Airport for Summer 20 today, including BRAND NEW Izmir in Turkey and La Rochelle in France.

 

The addition of more capacity means over ONE MILLION seats are going on sale today, with an eighth aircraft coming into operation during the peak school holiday season.

 

With flights operating to Izmir every Tuesday from May to October, local holidaymakers can access popular family friendly resorts on the west coast of Turkey such as Kusadasi, Cesme, Ozdere and Seferihisar. This brand new Turkish destination is expected to be extremely popular with holidaymakers looking for exceptional weather, great value, and fabulous cuisine with beautiful beaches and the Dilek National Park within easy reach.

 

The picturesque harbour port of La Rochelle is another new addition, with weekly Saturday departures commencing on 23rd May. Lined with seafood restaurants, the city is popular with campers and boating enthusiasts. With a well-preserved walled old town at the heart of the city, La Rochelle also provides access via bridge to Il de Re, an Atlantic-coast island of dunes and pine forest - a relaxed destination with beautiful villages, long golden beaches and rural cycle paths.

 

Other key highlights on our Summer 20 programme from East Midlands include:

 

Over 100 departing weekly flights during peak periods, with an all Boeing 737-800 fleet in operation.

More capacity during the peak school holiday season, with an eighth aircraft coming into operation for the school holidays.

Canary Islands – up to 16 weekly services to Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.

Turkey – more services to Dalaman (now up to five weekly services) and Antalya (now up to four weekly services), in addition to up to two weekly Bodrum and NEW Izmir services means plenty more choice in response to demand for Turkish sunshine.

Daily or double-daily services to sunshine favourites Palma (Majorca) (up to 12 services every week), Alicante (up to ten weekly services including double services on weekends), Faro (up to nine weekly services), Malaga (daily services) as well as great choice and flexibility to Ibiza (six weekly services).

Plenty of other choice to Spain and its islands, with up to four weekly services to Menorca, and twice weekly services to Girona (Costa Brava), Reus (Costa Dorada) and Costa de Almeria.

Greece – up to 14 weekly services to Greece, including up to three weekly services to Crete (Heraklion), Rhodes and Zante, two weekly services to Corfu, and weekly services to Kos, Kefalonia and Halkidiki.

Cyprus – two weekly services Paphos and Larnaca.

Bourgas (Bulgaria) popularity of new for Summer 19 destination means additional frequency, meaning two services every week.

Croatia – two weekly services to Dubrovnik and Split.

Italy – weekly services to Pisa and Verona.

 

Today’s announcement comes in response to continued demand for great value package holidays from holidaymakers across the East Midlands. With more services and frequencies, they are spoilt for choice when it comes to where and when they would like to getaway, with more flexible durations available.
