Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks expands Iceland programme for Winter 20/21

We are announcing a major expansion to our Iceland programme for Winter 20/21 with scheduled flights from Birmingham and Manchester Airports available for the first time, alongside the launch of once-in-a-lifetime trips from London Stansted, Belfast International and Edinburgh Airports.

This means we are on sale to Iceland from all nine of our UK bases, with flights perfectly timed for those wanting to experience the spectacular Northern Lights.

With scheduled flights operating from Manchester and Birmingham Airports to Iceland for the very first time, customers are spoiled for choice when it comes to visiting this incredibly popular destination.

We will operate twice weekly services from both bases on a Monday and Thursday during the best times to see the Northern Lights (1st October to 23rd November and 11th February to 26th April). As well as giving people more chances to see this spectacular event, it offers great choice and flexibility with three, four or seven-night stays available.

In addition, we have also expanded our programme of dedicated trips to Iceland, launching trips from Belfast International, Edinburgh and London Stansted Airports for the first time. Customers now have the choice of 37 three-night or four-night trips to the Nordic island with 15 trips taking place between October and November and 22 trips taking place between February and April. Whether it is the cityscape of Reykjavik, the spectacular Northern Lights, or the stunning Golden Circle and its geothermal lagoons, spas and waterfalls, Iceland offers an incredible variety of things for customers to experience and see.

Customers can pick from flight-only or package holiday options, with package options with Jet2CityBreaks available for a low £60 per person deposit. Package options with Jet2CityBreaks include a guided Northern Lights Tour, flights with Jet2.com including 22kg hold luggage, transfers to and from the airport, as well as a choice of 3 and 4-star hotels in central Reykjavik which provide the perfect base from which to explore and experience authentic Icelandic cuisine. In addition, excursions to the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon are also available to purchase.

All flights to Keflavík International Airport near Reykjavik will be operated on a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, and the full programme is as follows:

Belfast International – two BRAND-NEW trips (one in October and one in April).

Birmingham BRAND-NEW scheduled services operating every Monday and Thursday from 1st October – 23rd November and 11th February – 26th April.

Edinburgh – two BRAND-NEW trips (one in October and one in April).

East Midlands – five trips in total (one in October, one in November and three in March).

Glasgow – five trips in total (two in October and trips in February, March and April).

Leeds Bradford – eight trips in total (one in October, two in November, two in February, one in March and two in April).

Newcastle – ten trips in total (two in October, two in November, three in February, one in March and two in April).

London Stansted – five BRAND-NEW trips in total (one in October, one in November and three in March).
