During recent meetings with hoteliers and representatives from the
Cypriot tourism industry, we signalled our commitment to Cyprus as a key
holiday destination, and announced our biggest ever summer and winter programmes
to the island.

A number of colleagues, including Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com
and Jet2holidays,
held meetings in Cyprus last week and showcased how, unlike other tour
operators, we have continued to demonstrate our year-round commitment to Cyprus
by increasing capacity and investing in our partnership approach with hotels
and the industry. This includes growing our team, working in partnership to
create mutually beneficial relationships, and investing in marketing support to
drive business to the island.
We have almost 550,000 seats on sale between the UK and the destinations
of Paphos and Larnaca in Summer 19, a capacity increase of 16%. During peak
periods, we will operate 56 weekly flights between the UK and Cyprus this summer,
representing yet another year of growth and giving customers more choice and
flexibility than ever before.
With 200,000 seats on sale in Winter 19, a capacity increase of more than
45%, we also pledged to continue working with hotel partners and the tourist board to showcase the appeal of Cyprus
as both a summer and winter destination. With more Britons heading to Cyprus
for some Winter Sun, we have significantly expanded our winter capacity to
accommodate this demand, including flights to Paphos from all nine of our UK bases in Winter 19/20.
As well as discussing our growth in Cyprus, Mr Heapy highlighted how Jet2.com
and Jet2holidays
continues to invest in quality so that customers are given a VIP customer
experience. We have a range of 2-5 star hotels on sale in Cyprus, including
many with free Resort Flight Check-in.
On top of that, we also have more customer helpers in airports and in resort.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “By
working in partnership with hoteliers and the industry here in Cyprus, we are
able to continue our growth strategy and we are very much looking forward to
more success in the future. Cyprus is an absolutely critical destination, so we
will keep working with the industry to attract holidaymakers in the summer and
winter, filling Cypriot hotels all-year round with customers on a package
holiday they can trust.”
