Bad Friday for Disruptive Passengers

Following the removal of 23 disruptive passengers from our Manchester to Prague flight on Good Friday, Jet2.com has written to the lead passengers from the two stag groups involved, to reclaim losses incurred by this appalling behaviour - a total which reaches more than £5,500.

The behaviour of a number of individuals from two separate stag groups led to the crew having to call for police assistance before the aircraft could depart. Police then attended the aircraft to support the removal of a number of customers, one of who was subsequently arrested along with two others who were issued with public order offences.

Individuals from both groups were intoxicated, abusive, aggressive, and caused damage to the aircraft including breaking a number of cup holders and even drawing on seats.

As a result of this behaviour, the flight was delayed causing inconvenience to a number of other customers at the start of their Bank Holiday weekend.

As a family friendly airline we are simply not prepared to let the behaviour of a disruptive few spoil the flight for everyone else, which is why we take a zero tolerance approach to this behaviour through our Onboard Together Campaign.

There are serious consequences if you behave in this fashion, which includes financial implications such as these, as well as being banned from flying with us for life, which we have done with a number of individuals in this case. We are also continuing to support the Police and where required will prosecute if that is deemed necessary.

We will continue to keep everyone updated as this progresses.
