The Leisure Airline with Friendly Low Fares - A Brief History of Jet2.com
Jet2.com has been flying commercial aircraft for three decades, operating under the name Channel Express (Air Services) for the first 20 years.
Jet2.com began operating as a leisure airline in February 2003, flying daily from Leeds Bradford International Airport, to and from Amsterdam. During 2003, scheduled flights were launched to seven European city break and sun destinations, carrying more than 360,000 passengers in the first year. By September 2004, Jet2.com had carried more than 1 million passengers, a figure that had increased to 20 million by October 2010.
The fleet now consists of 47 aircraft located across eight UK bases.

Jet2.com regularly reviews the flights programme and adds new destinations to the existing portfolio. Over the last few years the airline has added a number of new routes to a wide variety of destinations, including Spain, Portugal, Greece, Croatia and Turkey in particular.
